The psychotronic experience, 1998.
Video installation.
Custom electronic circuits, steel and nylon.

PSY
PSYThe Psychotronic Experience consists of four monitors arranged in a circular manner attached to a rigid structure on the ceiling. Each monitor is inclined and has its radiation confined into a cone made of cloth. On the other side of the cone there is an opening where the spectator can put his/her head. Inside the cone are two loud speakers emitting stereo sound directly over the spectator ears.

PSY Each monitor is a channel where sound and light pulsation occur in four different cerebral frequencies. The electronic image is deprived of intelligible form, becoming only light intensity information. The iconoscope loses its existential reason as an icon builder, being remitted to its basic function of light emitter. The light and sound bath leads the spectator to tune in a synthetic manifestation pattern.
